i went for dinner with 2 cousins and 2 sisters at clarke quay. it was meant to be our reunion dinner.

we had the main course at jumbo.
and we had haagen dazs fondue for dessert.

do u know that haagen dazs came from the US? it was named haagen dazs coz the founder wanted the name to sound europian so that it would sell. apparently, europe was famous for its ice cream.

hey im just the last person you ppl should confide in. i suck at comforting troubled ppl.

i never really like action movies and i dont like the idea of paying $9.50 to watch ppl killing each other and blood spurting everywhere. but i went to watch fearless yesterday (we had no other choice!) and it turned out to be not bad. it is claimed to be jet li’s greatest movie so far. jet li and the young him are very sexy in this movie with their long braided hair.

the movie is about the values of martial arts and chinese pride. it teaches you not to be arrogant and that winning is not everything and the whole revenge thing is very stupid and huo yuanjia says the greatest enemy lies within oneself. nice.

my wushu and jay chou fan friends, go watch this movie!
caution: the movie contains violence and lots lots of blood.
(my sister almost fainted inside the cinema when master qin was killed, i’m serious!)

i kinda slept the whole day yesterday so i am so fresh and awake at this time.

i am currently rereading the curious incident of the dog in the night time by mark haddon. i read it before but i cheated and flipped to the last few pages of the book to know the ending.

another new year. in less than a month, ppl are celebrating and wishing everyone happy new year again. two new year’s eves and two new year’s days in a month. happy new year chinese ppl.

chinese new year is the only holiday when singapore can rest and have her sleep. well except in chinatown (hey i went there with some hostel ppl on my first or second cny in sg. irma u were there right? we took pics and walked a lot and saw a police car. thats pretty much what i can remember haha).

most shops everywhere were closed at 5pm or earlier yesterday all the way til monday or tuesday. at the moment commercialised fastfood franchises like mac, kfc and friends are the only source for food for ppl who do not celebrate or have no family around to celebrate. i had my reunion dinner at bk with my sister and some church friends. it was nice.

my sister called my dad’s hp to wish my mom and him happy cny. they were in my grandparents’ house and everyone was there so i got to talk to them. i want to be there too. grandpa says that he will send the angpaos.

but it is a good thing that i have the privilege to stay in my bed and sleep all day today instead of having to visit ppl and be all chatty and smiley and nice and eat good food coz i am having a very terrible headache. i need more panadol and ferrero rocher.

i copied this from some english writing learning centre where they show some of their students’ work on the glass windows. i took the R from a boy named marcus who runs very fast. E, L and N were by a nice girl whom i forgot the name.

E is for elephant, which is big and fat.
R is for running, which i do very fast. (well, i dont. marcus does.)
L is for lion, which roars very loudly.
I is for i, which is the ninth letter of the alphabet.

news! a friend told me that his friend told him that his secondary school told him that o levels results are coming out on 17 feb. and usually a levels will be a week after that. but another friend told me that his friend told him that her junior told her that o levels results are out on the.. oh man i forgot. but its even earlier la. and a levels will be a week after that.

i’ll ask the second friend again to confirm k. im doing this for my dear dear friends who refuse to go back to this loveable country before the results are being released and thus leaving me alone and deserted here.

yay i got myself a chinese tutor! ms kee yi ling agreed to give me chinese tuition for free haha. i love her! ok shinfei actually agreed earlier but shes like millions light years away la.

i am nauseous and tingly all over. i dont have smallpox. i’m in love! with a very cute and smart ten year old boy. hihi. nope, i’m not paedophiliac. i’m demi moore-iac.

i just realised how fake a chinese i am. i cant pronounce a single word of chinese properly, i dont get that excited on chinese new year like i do on christmas, i dont even have a chinese name. and yet i am a pure chinese. this year’s cny is going to be the fourth cny’s at home i miss! oh well.

i didnt know i would have to do some disgusting thing called homework again so soon. i have ten sheets of irrational numbers and thirty of trigonometry and stuff as homework.

tomorrow is cleaning house day. maid, maid. hey i can be a sexy maid. u know, like inem the sexy maid. i can be one. cool.

this is where i work

this is what my students do and this is what i do

i work on tuesdays 2-9, thursdays 9-6, fridays 2-6 and saturdays 830-1230. thats also the opening hour of the centre i work at. so i am there as long as it opens. that explains why i am so free right haha. but i like it. so even though the pay i get maybe just enough to cover my expenses (or not), i am not quitting this for other jobs. i can do things in my free time like watching friends, blogging, nudging ppl in msn, reading books (i finished my beckham!), and thinking about learning chinese. oh i do dishes and laundry and sleep a lot too.

haha i was kinda forced to watch some sex comedy of the year the long weekend just now. the movie is sick. they show things that living creatures (not only us human being) have, things that they do. dirty, disgusting things. but its not all yucky la coz chris klein and brendan fehr are both very handsome and the movie ended quite happy. its sex is not everything and love is the best thing in the world all over again. oh i thought the brotherly love is sweet too. erm but i lost count of the number of days they spent on that weekend, it seemed so long. no wonder, long weekend.

oh oh look my bday bbq two years ago. we were so young and happy.
