my sisters are visiting and i spend my time blogging, watching vcds/dvds, sleeping. what a sister. they are here for two weeks and singapore is just a little red dot in the world map. we have enough time both to explore the country inside out, and to feel bored of that.
and of course we get to feel the sisterhood again.
there are so many problems in the world that make me think that mine are all trivial.
troubled people, just remember that god won’t put you in a trial that you can’t handle. pray and trust his heart, trust his plan. let god.

meet the sisters 2
(mom and) melinda aka mel, 23. the oldest sister.
being the oldest one, she’s the first to try things out, ‘the family’s guinea pig’. strong yet fragile, mature yet childish, friendly yet sensitive (erm, no link). she takes care of her sisters. she moved from perth (good life) to singapore (no life) for us. i stay with her at hougangg but she’s not in singapore at the moment.

ervinda aka vivi/pipi/pipoi, 19. the kindest one.
younger, but bigger and almost more mature than me. she went to university before i did. unfairness. she’s very patient, very nice. when we were young, people used to think we were twins. until we grew up and i stopped growing and she grew some more. you know alvin and the chipmunks? she was named after alvin. ervin. ervinda.
mom has wavy hair, dad has straight hair.

i’ve been watching joey season one. at first i thought it’s lame and i didn’t like that the show is like so taking advantage from the popularity of friends. but it actually turned out to be funny. joey is always funny.
go watch people.
and why is the rating bad?
maybe because people who think it’s good watch it on pirated dvd. shame on you.
i love michael, joey’s nephew. cute stuff.
i’m blogging (ilegally) from ntu! except for the uluness of this place, i think it’s nice and it got me excited about going to university, staying in pgp. and here, the seniors pass fridges down to the juniors like they do books in secondary schools. fridge for free! i’m so jealous, i don’t have a fridge.
i was asked some stat questions, the easier ones than those we had in a level fmath, and i found out that i forgot all about stat. what did i go to school for. it’s like really for a piece of paper which btw i have yet to collect, and not for real learning. what rushes in, rushes out.
for a few weeks i thought i was going to be free from headaches and panadol. but i was wrong. panadol saved the day, again.

You are offered to stay in:
PRINCE GEORGE’S PARK
i was sad because i will be staying away from friends who stay in halls (both ntu and nus), but i’m over it now. friendship has wings.
pgp, here i come :D
working as a waitress makes people critical about services provided by restaurants/eating places. i wrote a real complain (= not as jennifer) on the suggestion form at swensen’s last night. i’m not a fussy customer, they’re just plain rude.

i have been having headaches since the morning my sisters came. i kept whining and pouting and being irritating the whole time while i was with them yesterday and today, i decided to stay in the room, sleeping, blogging, watching vcds. while they were out, being tourists.
we have to wait for my other sister, who is still in indonesia, having some exams, to do a lot of things because we don’t want her to feel left out. and so, we are left with very very few things to do. she’s coming on saturday night. i can’t wait to shop with her!
i watched eiffel i’m in love extended and 30 hari mencari cinta. my sister brought the vcds. i think 30 hari mencari cinta is funny.
i’m done sleeping, blogging, watching vcds, i am happy again. we are going out later.

sie wollen abnehmen? tapfer, aber haben sie auch an die folgen gedacht?
meet the sisters 1

kezia elda aka caca. the baby of the family.
long and thin (sadly, almost the exact opposite of me). very fragile, great to bully. she’s 14 but everybody treats her like she’s 10. she is going to be in singapore for two weeks and my mum equips her with milk (drink every morning), cough syrup (don’t take if she doesn’t cough), honey, so much food and clothes enough for three months! it’s her first trip without my parents.

yolanda aka yoli, 22. sister number two, the weirdest in the family.
long too but not so thin. she’s graduating from ntu this year. looks nonchalant, is happy and funny, with a very good temper and a big heart. i helped her choose her specs! she reads my blog but i can’t read hers.
keine ursache.
more sisters to come!
ps. don’t bother to translate the german words.

mel almost had a meeting with bill.
mel, my first sister, almost had a meeting with bill, the chairman of microsoft corporation, the worldwide leader in software, services and solutions that help people and businesses realize their full potential.
almost.
btw bill’s wife’s name is melinda too.
yoli thinks: computer engineers meet bill gates, chemical engineers meet marie curie (who is dead).
i know sherly goh for almost five years but i hardly go shopping with her.
yesterday we went to ntu for astrochallenge, had a five minutes ugly sleep on the bus, then shopped at jp! we bought our first couple tshirts! sounds wrong. anyweh. we are happy girls.
i like ntu. ntu is nice.
the next two weeks: more shopping, more sisters, more food!

it’s nice to wake up having no plans or schedule to follow. i can sleep as much as i want, i can be stupid and take bus accidentally aimlessly, i can sit down and eat at macs whenever i feel like, i can not be late at all. it’s like i own the day.
i owned today HAHAHAH.
i was so busy thinking and considering and deciding which university/scholarship to go that i totally forgot that there was something called the deadline. luckily there was something else called pat who reminded me about it. the deadline for the acceptance form is tomorrow and i settled mine at nus today. definitely not last minute, not even last day or hour. i feel a sense of achievement.
yesterday sherly and i went to eat at ayam penyet prima ria (new!) near bugis and suntec opposite the shaw tower. pat betrayed us to eat at tony romas. sher ordered so many things and i was forced to eat too. the place is good (a good place is an aircon place which sells affordable, good food and drinks and is empty during weekends) so we called pat to come and play -censored- game with a heavy laptop without charger. being the pro and genius and friendly friend and everything i am, i kept winning.
after church (shin fei, you are missed!), we continued playing in fussion at milenia walk which is also a good place but closes very early. i like berry smoothies, chili flakes make me stomachache but i still love them anyway. we had our dinner with takeaway containers outside because they were closing. at the end of the day, three of us had to bid farawell to each other because we no longer stay in the same building and sherly and i had stomachache.
we may not look very cool and we may not do cool stuff but we are really cool people.
