Danau Toba!

;)

My last post from Singapore this year

Had an evening of bimbotism, ice creams and donuts with the SD U girls (SDU, means another thing). Bimbotism here refers to the place where we had our dinner, the whole cafe looks like a schoolgirls’ project, it’s like one of the projects in entrepreneurial marketing module! If they bring the concept to the class, the lecturer would have a lot of things to say. But they are doing pretty well, I saw a queue. Pictures, courtesy of Yimin.

Where happy people meet..
Me and the sunshine girl who fainted in a food centre earlier in the day.

At Tom’s Palette, Shaw Centre.
Their ice cream i lovee!

I shall go packing now.

Who says you can’t go home

I’ve just changed my Medan-Jakarta flight to 20 December, and the change fee costs me almost the same amount as the ticket itself. And I’m already so poor. But it’s alright, it’s okay.. Medan people, you’d better come out and play with me in Medan!

Reren will be missed. Reren is missed. Why did you leave so early. Why would you do that, why, why..

This and NREC will leave me with only two weeks at home, and Fanie’s house. Both sisters are going back home, too. My parents will have five daughters again, after like six years. Oh, the car and the house will be crowded again.

I did not get my free Indomie Rasa Kari Ayam

I’ve just found this interesting link. Interesting.

Caught Enchanted at Plaza Singapura with Lita, Sherly, Yusita, Johni, Jo, and Hartanto yesterday. It was the second movie I watched in half a year! I found the movie just okay. Maybe it was partly because we had I Am Legend trailer before the movie, and I was set into Will Smith mood. Enchanted is cute, but not that funny. Fairy tales are getting over-exploited. Don’t count this as my kind of movie (though I was the one who chose the movie).

It was a Tuesday. Sherly and I shared one big and one small Gelare’s half-priced waffles, and were reminded of JC days, Siglap, and Marita. We miss Marita.

Joyous

I feel like I have all the time in the world.. when I only have four more days left in Singapore. Post exams, one should really stick to the plan one made during the exams.

I’ve been sleeping, a lot, a lot, to pay off my sleep debt during the past week. Almost strangely, I had headaches and stomach cramps coming to me just the day after I ended my last paper.
Exams withdrawal syndrome.
God’s grace.

It was The True Plue’s birthday yesterday. We had a simple celebration at PGP non-aircon canteen, so simple, so unglam, but very warm and very very funny. It was a happier birthday celebration. Thanks Daisy for the dinner treat ;) That reminds me, I didn’t treat anyone for my birthday, nor did I get any treat. I’m not complaining.
Anyway, happy birthday once again to Daisy.

Writing this makes me realise, that besides church and my sisters’ place, I haven’t gone out of PGP after my exams. And it’s been three days. The only entertainments I’ve had were an episode of friends, half an hour of wii, a game of pool, and facebook. PGP is turning into a world on its own lah, if you bring your own friends.
I’m not complaining seriously.

If

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream – and not make dreams your master,
If you can think – and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ‘em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on!”

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings – nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And – which is more – you’ll be a Man, my son!

Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936)

Randomly, vaguely answered..

For Reren and Sherly.

One Thing That Scares You
Getting lost, both literally and not.

One Thing You Like the Most
Good people.

One Important Thing in your Room
In my PGP room.. The bed, which is not exactly mine.

One Random Fact About You
I smile too often, I laugh too much. Cengengesan is the word.

One Thing You Plan To Do Before You Die
To be what I’m designed to be.

One Thing You Can Do
I can change my mind so fast people always complain about it. So proud for what.

One Thing You Can’t Do
I can’t remember too many things.

One Thing That Attract You to the Opposite Sex
Sense of humour.

One Thing You Say The Most
I don’t know, I don’t know?

One Song You Have Recently Listened To
Don’t Love You No More (I’m Sorry) – Craig David, not really by choice.

One Celebrity Crush
I can’t think of any right now. That’s how insignificant they are.

Semester 3; it’s a wrap!

I survived my third semester.
Moral of the semester: Stop taking core modules.

I’m done with school for the year. I need some detoxifications now, to get the naturally occurring amine aka caffeine out of my body, get rid of shear and normal stresses, reduce lipids intake, and have some phase equilibrium in life.
Nonsense,
No more exams.

Studying for exams was tough, but it’s over, and now I can only remember all the laughters, morning dews, and flowers and rainbows and lalalas.

Psalm 100
Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth!
Serve the LORD with gladness!
Come into His presence with singing!

Know that the LORD, He is God!
It is He who made us, and we are His;
we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.

Enter His gates with thanksgiving,
and His courts with praise!
Give thanks to Him; bless His name!

For the LORD is good;
His steadfast love endures forever,
and His faithfulness to all generations.

What an inconsiderate blog entry for those who are not done with their exams.
