Look.

We can fly to Medan from Singapore for only $5. Without counting the taxes, taking taxi from PGP to my church at Queenstown costs even more than that.
The promotion is til tomorrow, we only knew it today, and we immediately bought 13 tickets. Saved almost a thousand bucks. Thank God.
So, I’m going back to Medan again this December. When I told my parents, they asked if I have a Medanese boyfriend and am hiding it from them. No, I don’t. I’m going to Medan with 16 other people on a humanitarian trip called MKP Initiate :) to hopefully initiate a tiny little change in Medan. We’ve done some fundraising and planning for the trip, and I’ve dealt with some frustration and disappointment, mostly with self. I pray for wisdom and strength and love and to stay focused on what I have in my heart.

A robot with no soul and with chip on her shoulders would easily make a good chemical engineering undergrad, no?

I knew this song through NC’08, we sang it in one of the worship sessions and I thought the music was somehow fairytale-ish.. And the lyrics indeed tell a real life “fairytale” ;)
See, What a Morning (Resurrection Hymn)
Words and Music by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend
See, what a morning, gloriously bright,
With the dawning of hope in Jerusalem;
Folded the grave-clothes, tomb filled with light,
As the angels announce, “Christ is risen!”
See God’s salvation plan,
Wrought in love, borne in pain, paid in sacrifice,
Fulfilled in Christ, the Man,
For He lives: Christ is risen from the dead!
See Mary weeping, “Where is He laid?”
As in sorrow she turns from the empty tomb;
Hears a voice speaking, calling her name;
It’s the Master, the Lord raised to life again!
The voice that spans the years,
Speaking life, stirring hope, bringing peace to us,
Will sound till He appears,
For He lives: Christ is risen from the dead!
One with the Father, Ancient of Days,
Through the Spirit who clothes faith with certainty.
Honor and blessing, glory and praise
To the King crowned with pow’r and authority!
And we are raised with Him,
Death is dead, love has won, Christ has conquered;
And we shall reign with Him,
For He lives: Christ is risen from the dead!

We are all living the consequences of our actions in the past. There are things that I wish didn’t happen, but I think I wouldn’t have handled them any better, things couldn’t have turned otherwise. I’ve done mistakes that I can never justify (and I should stop trying to).
And I can’t unbreak what’s broken, I can’t erase what time has so cruelly recorded.

I slept at 10 plus last night, and woke up at 9 plus this morning. And that’s how I missed my morning lectures, again.
